‘Development projects are the best way to market ZANU PF’

ZANU PF Harare Zone 4 DCC Secretary for Youth Affairs Cde Takura Madziya has called for members of the Youth League to defend the party not by violence but through doing business.

Cde Madziya said this in an address, welcoming new members of the Party who had joined the ZANU PF Youth Cell structures.

Cde Madziya challenged the new members to join the ongoing registration of Companies for youths in business which has produced 598 formalized companies in Zone 4 Harare.

“We have managed to register many companies for our youth as a party. 500 certificates have been collected to date, I have brought 68 more here for collection. Another 30 are on their way from the Registrar of Companies office,” said Cde Madziya.

Cde Madziya has been steering the formalization of youth companies amongst youths with the help of Zimbabwe Youth Council, Ministry of Youth Sports Arts and Recreation.

In the past they have held seminars for ZANUPF youths to get a better understanding of Taxes, Loaning Facilities and Tender Bidding with the help of Youth Empower Bank and Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA).

“Our duty in the party is to make sure we are the first to drive the ideology of the Party’s Principal. Our Principal in ZANUPF is President Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa and he speaks of ‘Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo’ and ‘leaving no place and no one behind’.

Therefore we should be in the forefront of building the nation as youths. And our participation is only possible if we are registered entities,” said Cde Madziya.

Cde Madziya made reference to the Devolution projects being undertaken nationwide by the Second Republic and how these were big opportunities for Youths to partake in, profitably.

“We have Devolution projects where school, roads bridges, clinics and other public service structures are being built.

As ZANUPF youths we must be able to take initiative as the party responsible for this development and be in the forefront delivering a service or a product required for the project.

It could be in food, accommodation, transport or fabrication of door frames window frames, supply of bricks, sand and quarry or the construction labour itself. There is a lot to do to help our President in building this nation brick by brick,” added Cde Madziya.

Cde Madziya told the new ZANUPF Youth League members that the party was not a haven of employment but a place where tomorrow’s employers were made.

“One can not be thinking of going abroad with a certificate in engineering, we except all of you to use the education you have acquired till to today to the cause of building this nation,” he added.
