Drinkers around the country have had a long week, as some beer brands appear to be in short supply.

Zambezi, the country’s most popular beer has been hard to get in some joints.

Same applies for Black Label and Bohlingers.

Delta, who manufacture the beers explained the shortage.

In a terse statement released yesterday, signed by one Patricia Murambinda the Delta Corporate Affairs Manager the company is struggling for water and power.

“Your Beer Will Be Flowing Again Shortly.”

We advise our customers that we had disruptions to beer production arising from water and power cuts,” read the press release.

The company did not clarify when supply will return to normal.

Delta Beverages is the brewer of Castle Lager, Castle Lite, Castle Milk Stout, Carling Black Label, Chibuku, Chubuku Super, Golden Pilsner and the leading local brand Zambezi.

African Distilers is like to be affected by the same problem as it is a subsidiary of Delta Beverages responsible for production of spirits, wines and ciders.

Delta Beverages is the country’s leading brewer with more than 15 beer brands and more than 4000 employees across the country.
