Warriors defender Tendai Darikwa has renewed his contract with Wigan Athletic for another two years.
The deal will see the 29 year old warriors defender stay at the Latics until summer of 2023.
The former Nottingham Forest player said he is excited to commit himself for the next season at the club.
“I’m delighted to be back here at the football club and really greatful to the manager for bringing me in, and giving me the opportunity to play football matches. Hopefully, I can continue that next season and we can be successful together,” he said.
Meanwhile another Warriors star and Captain Knowledge Musona has ended his 10year European stint by heading to Al-Tai FC of Saudi Arabia for a new adventure.
Musona who was sought after by three South African biggest teams Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates surprised many by heading to the East.
Observers say the 31 year old`s move could have been a financial decision, since he is now in the twilight of his career.
Al-Tai FC are returning to the the Saudi top flight league after a 13 year absence.
Founded in 1961, the club is based in Ha’il, a city in the northwest of the country.
It uses the 12,000 capacity seater Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa’ed Stadium for home games.
The venue is shared with city rivals Al-Jabalain, who remained in the second tier.
