DISCUSSIONS for the curriculum review exercise are set to be held on May 23 and May 24 across the country, the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has announced.
In a statement, Primary and Secondary Education Permanent Secretary Mrs Tumisang Thabela said they will carry out the exercise with their clients and internal stakeholders.
She said every school will be a consultation centre.
“The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education will be carrying out nationwide 2023 curriculum review consultations with its clients and stakeholders on May 23 and May 24 from 8am to 5pm.
“This is an opportunity for the internal stakeholders to participate in deciding the education we want as a nation. The views are important to shape our education for socio-economic development,” she said.
She said Government remains committed to improving competence-based curriculum in pursuit of providing equitable and inclusive quality education that leaves no one and no place behind.
Mr Thabela said the Ministry greatly values clients and internal stakeholders’ input and support.
Curriculum review is a crucial component in the education sector and involves a critical examination of learning and teaching programmes for the purposes of optimising experiences and ultimately improving the quality of education.
