Conway Tutani dies

Veteran journalist Conway Tutani has died.

Tutani collapsed at his Houghton Park home late yesterday afternoon.

An experienced journalist, Tutani was once editor at Daily News, and worked at Zimpapers at some point in his career.

At the time of his death, Tutani was a proof reader and copy editor at The Standard, a weekly newspaper under the Alpha Media Holdings stable.

Through his Twitter, The Standard Editor Kholwani Nyathi mourned Tutani, who he said he saw on Saturday in good health.

“Tutani was the @thestandardzim proof reader. He was among the last people l saw leaving the newsroom on Saturday night after we put the latest edition to bed. I have no words. May His Dear Soul Rest In Eternal Peace,” said Nyathi.

Tutani was father to radio anchor, Miss Vee Candy.
