Yesterday, The Honourable Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Hon Dr Jenfan Muswere, who is the sitting MP for Makoni West Constituency, officially opened an ECD Block at Matsika Primary School in ward 24.

The infrastructure was built by the school in partnership with World Vision Zimbabwe operating in Makoni District.

“We have commissioned a number of key infrastructure projects to transform the entire population and rural infrastructure in order to propel the whole nation towards Vision 2030, while at the same time making sure that we leave no one and no place behind,” said Minister Muswere.

After commissioning the ECD Block Honourable Muswere said that the opening of such a modern infrastructure at the school will shape the school environment and also bridge the gap between a folk learner and an urban learner as both will now have the same exposure.

At the same function, Honourable Muswere was thanked by the school authorities at Matsika Primary who include the school head, for donating 30 well functioning state of the art laptops some time ago, which the learners are now using. Dr. Muswere also purchased a brand new sports attire for the school.

He also thanked the Second Republic for fully supporting and capacitating the schools’ feeding programme.

Minister Muswere pledged
50 bags of cement for the construction of teachers’ houses which need revamping.
