The project budget is earmakerd at US$906 973.5 with around US$400 000 having been spent so far. The project is meant to increase income for Chirundu local board and create a work space for traders at the border town.
Hon.Dr Jorum Gumbo also assessed the ZIMRA staff cottages, a project that is being led by ZIMRA in partnership with the Department of Public Works, to build modern self-contained cottages which are meant to ease accommodation shortages and support the vision 2030.
The first phase saw the construction of five cottages, while the second phase realised the construction of four cottages, with three having been completed to date.
