Chief Samuriwo, born Muza Gibson Bidi, who passed away on 31 August, will be laid to rest on September 11, 2024. He was 88 years old.
The funeral service will take place at his homestead in Bidi Village, Samuriwo, located approximately 3 kilometers from Mahusekwa Growth Point.
Chief Samuriwo, born in 1936, received his early education at Samuriwo Primary School in Mahusekwa. He embarked on his professional journey as a tailor in Kadoma before joining Chibuku in Masvingo in 1960.
Chief Samuriwo is survived by his wife, Juliet Denhere, their two children, Washington and Tichiona, and 15 grandchildren.
The Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Hon Daniel Garwe, is scheduled to preside over the funeral ceremony, paying tribute to the late chief’s significant contributions to his community and the nation.
