Musician Chief Hwenje, famed for revolutionary songs has laughed off claims made by opposition figures that he was involved in an accident and is currently battling for his life.

Pro-Chamisa accounts on social media have been for the past few days circulating the claims.
In the post, which has since gone viral, Chief Hwenje was said to have been badly injured while his manager Archford Guvuriro was said to have died.

However, Chief Hwenje released a video repudiating the claims, seemingly in perfect health.

“People are saying I was involved in an accident. That is not true, I am very much alive. People tell lies, they are jealous of what we are doing,” said Chief Hwenje.

In an interview with Tateguru Tv, Chief Hwenje`s manager Guvuriro said the rumours were started by members of the opposition, meant to cause confusion and panic.

“Chief Hwenje and his management are safe and sound,” said Guvuriro.

There are trolls that appear to be assigned to ridicule patriotic musicians online and Chief Hwenje appears to be the latest victim.
