The honeymoon phase appears to be over for newly launched political outfit, Citizens Coalition for Change as they are coming face to face with the realities of the country`s politics.
Chamisa and his followers got a rude awakening last week, as Masvingo people abstained from their Rutenga rally.
An embarassing turnout of a measly 67 people came out to the 26 March By-Election Campaign rally called by CCC third vice president, Lynet Karenyi-Kore.
Kore who drove all the way from Harare anticipated to be greeted by a crowd since they had advertised that Nelson Chamisa would be making a speech there.
Neither the crowd nor Chamisa materialised.
Karenyi-Kore had to improvise and do a road show trying to save face.
This is the second time Masvingo Province has refused to be a part of the sanction begging organisation led by Nelson Chamisa.
Being the most impoverished of provinces due to the failure of the economy in the early 2000s due to sanctions, the South does not forget who brought this pain upon them.
Last year Chamisa was met by placards and protesters who drove him out of Masvingo Urban, Charumbira village, Chivi and Zaka.
Mwenezi also stood tall in refusing overtures by the sanction beggars.
