CAG Accident leaves two dead and several injured

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confirmed the grim details of the collision that occurred at the 30-kilometer peg along the Gokwe-Siabuwa Road.
The accident involved a CAG bus, carrying 50 passengers, and a Hino truck with six passengers on board.
The collision occurred when the bus hit the tailboard of the truck, causing the Hino truck to veer off the road and overturn.
Simultaneously, the bus veered off the road and overturned, landing on its roof.
Tragically, two people lost their lives in the accident, and thirty others sustained injuries.
The bodies of the victims were taken to Gokwe District Hospital for post-mortem examinations, while the injured individuals were admitted to the same hospital for medical care.
Assistant Commissioner Nyathi, the National Police spokesperson, emphasized the importance of road safety and urged motorists to exercise patience and adhere to all road rules and regulations.
Meanwhile, in a bid to restore order and safety on the roads, the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has launched a massive operation known as “Tame the Traffic Jungle.
