pro-Zimbabwe activists demand as US avails subversion cheer fund

The United States of America has released a staggering US$37 million to subvert this year’s harmonised elections.
Two NGOs, namely the Zimbabwe Election Support Network (ZESN) and Election Resource Centre (ERC)— have received US$537 500 and US$577 500, respectively, from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the National Democratic Institute (NDI) to run a parallel voter tabulation process which they call Sample Based Observation during the full election cycle.
The US released US$37 million war chest to be used by the opposition to influence the 2023 Harmonised elections in favour of CCC.
ZESN and ERC have drawdowns into their coffers from the US$37 million.
Other NGOs that include Heal Zimbabwe Trust, Accountability Lab, Crisis Coalition, Carter Centre, Veritas, East-West Management Institute and the NDI are also beneficiaries of this war chest.
Speaking TateguruTV, Chairman of Lobbying group; Progressive and Patriotic Citizens of Zimbabwe (PAPCOZ) Patson Murimoga said the US government has approved grants through USAID for Zimbabwe’s elections.
“We are reliably informed that USAID senior deputy administrator Megan Doherty is expected in the country in a fortnight to meet USAID implementing partners.
It is common knowledge that the opposition has been clandestinely working with hostile foreign nations, since its formation of MDC in 1999 at the behest of Americans and British.
The amount of money released by the USA has also seen CCC leader segregating some of his compatriots whom are also eyeing for the top post. This has been the cause of the rift that has characterised the party recently,” added Murimoga
He said the availing of these funds to the opposition is meant to tilt the 2023 Harmonised elections in favour of the CCC compromising the integrity of the elections.
“The US uses NGOs as conduits to fund the opposition for illegal regime change which explains their stiff resistance to enacting the PVO Amendment bill into law.
We as Patriotic Citizens of Zimbabwe who value our sovereignty and the sanctity of the democratic process of a harmonised election still lobby on the immediate enactment of the PVO Amendment Bill,” said Murimoga.
