Mako Jerera
Legendary musician Zex Manatsa has died.
He was 78.
Manatsa had been battling cancer for months.
He shot to fame at the height of the glory days local football with three hit songs dedicated to the country’s biggest soccer clubs, Dynamos, Highlanders and Caps United.
In the 1970s, he also filled Rufaro Stadium to capacity with fans who had paid to witness his wedding.
His son Tendai Manatsa confirmed the news of his death.
