Religious leader Bishop Andby Makururu of Johanne The Fifth of Africa has embarked on a project where he is converting Citizens Coalitions for Change (CCC) supporters to join the ruling party ahead of the 2023 elections slated in August.
Over the weekend he converted over 150 CCC supporters in Chinhoyi, Mashonaland West province at an event that was attended by the Provincial Affairs and Devolution Minister Mary Mliswa Chikoka.
Makururu is on a whirlwind tour converting the opposition supporters and campaign for President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
“l am going around converting Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) l was in Chinhoyi over the weekend, l converted over 100 CCC supporters at a church gathering,” he said.
“I have been in Masvingo, Chipinge and Murambinda among other areas,” he added
Makururu command a huge following around the country and region.
He has since promised President Mnangagwa thousands of supporters from his church.
