Ngoni Chinovava aka Baba Rah, President of Productions at Nelned Pictures continues to make waves in the entertainment industry with a new song entitled “Nhomba”.

In his latest collaborative effort with Churchill Boys High School, the singer implores Zimbabweans to get vaccinated against the deadly novel Covid-19.

Baba Rah is popularly known for his work on the movies Gonarezhou, an anti poaching awareness film that won an award in Hollywood 2020 and The Story Of Nehanda, a film that highlights the trial and persecution of Charwe Nyakasikana, a medium of the spirit of Mbuya Nehanda during the 1890s.

The Producer and his team are currently working on producing a song called NHOMBA in association with Churchill Boys High School Marimba band.
“The term NHOMBA means VACCINE.
‘Baiwayi Nhomba Zimbabwe tirarame’, are some of the lyrics on the chorus, loosely translated to mean, ‘Get vaccinated Zimbabwe for us to survive the scourge’.

This song serves as a voice that is calling on the Zimbabwean population to take the vaccine in great numbers so as to stay safe and minimize the dangers related to the Corona virus.” Ngoni said

The song will be released mid July.

Ngoni Chinovava highlighted that what inspired him and his team was the need to add a voice to the ongoing campaign to improve uptake of Covid-19 vaccines.

This song, a purely marimba based effort, is complimenting Government effort to sensitize and encourage the public to embrace the Covid-19 vaccination program.

The Production company has used this opportunity to expand their reach into working with schools as well as the Government.

Nelned Pictures have more projects in the pipeline and will be opening up as time nears.
