Prices of fuel continue to drop, giving relief to motorists and business owners, as Government continues to cushion the public.
The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reviewed the prices of diesel and petrol (Blend-E20) with effect from 18 September 2022.
In an update by ZERA, they said the price of diesel remains at US$1.74 per litre while the price of petrol has been reduced to US$1.52 from US$1.53.
The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio remains at E20.
“Operators may sell the petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations. Stakeholders are advised that the petroleum price releases by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle,” read the statement.
Fuel prices have been rising across the world due to supply interruptions caused by the geopolitical developments in Eastern Europe.
