The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has released the full 2022 school calendar.
In light of the country creeping out of the woods in terms of the Covid-19 pandemic, government has released a normal School calendar in a show of faith in the country’s management of the pandemic.
The first term will commence on January 10, 2022 and end on April 7, 2022. It is 63 days long with only one public holiday.
Thereafter schools will close for a 31 day vacation and open for the Second term on May 9, 2022. The term will run for 63 days with no public holidays and end on August 4, 2022.
Third term begins on September 5, 2022 to December 1, 2022. The term will be 64 days long.
Schools will take a vacation for 37 days and commence on Monday the 9th of January 2023 for the first term of the year 2023.
The calendar may change without notice as COVID-19 is still around. Any changes to the calendar will be notified through the formal channels.
Parents are urged to use this approved school calendar unless advised otherwise.
