2022 AFCON draw dates released

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that the Cameroon 2022 AFCON tournament draw will be held in Younde on August 17.

The draw was originally set for June 25 but had to be delayed due to logistical problems caused by Corona virus pandemic issues.

A Statement from CAF confirmed the tournament dates, it is set to run from January 9 to February 6 next year.

“Caf together with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of Cameroon announce that the draw for the final phase of the 33rd edition of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, Cameroon 2021, will take place on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Yaounde Conference Centre, Cameroon at 19h00 local time (18h00 GMT),” the statement read.

 

CAF said they will release more detail on draw procedure and special guests.

 

Zimbabwe are among 24 countries that qualified for the tournament.
