20 Injured In Another Zebra Kiss Accident

At least 20 people, including the driver, were injured when a Zebra Kiss bus they were travelling in from Cape Town, South Africa veered off the road after the driver lost control at a curve along the Mutare-Chimanimani Road near Mutare Teachers’ College yesterday night.
The injured were taken to Victoria Chitepo Provincial Hospital.
Sources close to the scene of the accident said the goods ferried in the trailer were damaged, while some were looted from the scene overnight.
Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the accident.
“The ZRP confirms a serious road traffic accident which occurred on 25/4/23 at about 2300 hours at the 5-kilometer peg along Mutare-Masvingo Rd where twenty passengers were injured when a Zebra Kiss bus traveling towards Mutare veered off the road and landed on its left side.
“The injured are admitted to Victoria Chitepo Hospital. More details will be released in due course.’’ reads part of the the tweet.
This accident comes barely weeks after a Zebra Kiss bus driver was sentenced to two years in prison for reckless driving after a bus he was driving was involved in an accident that killed one person earlier this year.
