Young musician Herman Mukombe (14) was today given a scholarship by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, after performing at the children`s party held by President Mnangagwa at state house in Harare.

Herman, is the voice behind hit song Zvandofarira which has received over two million views on YouTube.

The young crooner`s moves and vocals captured the audience which was present at the event.
So good was his performance, the President had to call him up the stage for a chat after his set.
Speaking after the gesture, Herman said he never imagined himself performing for the President.
“When I was approached to come here, I was in disbelief. I did not think that a young musician like myself would be worthy of performing at such a platform,” he said.

On the scholarship, the singer said he is happy that the highest office on the land found it fit to fund his studies.

“I am grateful to the President, for giving me the scholarship. I will work hard in school and I will not disappoint him,” said Herman.
Herman`s father, Mr Mugeni Mukunda was short of words when Tateguru Tv asked him for a comment on the scholarship.
“My brother, this can only be God,” he kept on saying.

President Mnangagwa`s administration has not been shy of showing its support to the arts administration and the latest gesture shows how they are ready to invest into talent identification.
